Aphrodite Endures beyond The Ephemeral

No Ordinary Aphrodite
by Susan E. Henry

She’s no ordinary
She’s a demon and
a doll on the floor
of the club
Dressed in a checkered
past and a grim
analogy of
love and squalor
She loves like thunder
at midnight
and laughs like
snowflakes on wool

Susan E. Henry is a poet and photographer living in Melbourne, Florida. Her tropical surroundings serve as the primary source of inspiration for her writing and photography.

I am a dreamer, as well as a doer, who lives in the North Georgia mountains. I started my publishing journey August of 2013, have had moderate success, but my utmost passion is my "daytime" job, which is working with adults who are constantly striving to better their lives as they obtain the GED credential.
